| 5 tips for Simply Personnel |
|
|
1. As staff are starting to request holidays for next year. Add 2010 to
every employees records via the global updates section, this will save
you from updating individual records.
2. If staff absence is an issue, use the Bradford Factor that is already
integrated in to the system. It was developed as a way of highlighting
the disproportionate level of disruption on an organisation's
performance which can be caused by short-term absence compared to single
incidences of prolonged absence. It was originally designed for use as
part of the overall investigation and management of absenteeism. In
contrast, if used to address absence or by setting unrealistically low
trigger scores it was considered short-sighted, unlikely to be
successful and could lead to staff disciplinary and grievances.
3. Use simply answers to schedules reports so they are automatically
produced every month and emailed out.
4. Use the screen designer to create new pages in your employee record,
add text boxes, dropdown list, date fields and tick boxes. You can also
link these to blank database field so you can use these in simply
answers and mail merge documents.
5. Send out letter and emails to all staff by using the documents
section, you can send these to individual employees or to groups/
departments. Use the mail merge field to populate personnel information
direct from the employee's records.
