| December |
|
| 1. Create a 'Bank' vacancy in recruitment manager and store all you speculative applications in there untill a relevant vacancy becomes available and then transfer the applicants.
|
|
|
|
| 2. Use the Add button on the job and salary tab, this will create a new record and enable you to create a job and salary history for your employees.
|
|
|
|
| 3. Add delegates to the waiting list on the training manager, you will then be able to transfer these delegates to the attendees tab with one click of the move button.
|
|
|
|
| 4. Set up your working durations in the Personnel Manager system setup and allocate these to the employee on the Shifts Tab, this will the auto calculte holidays and absense days required when you log them on the employees record.
|
|
|
|
| 5. Use the updates tab at the top of the main screen to update multiple employees records in one go, follow the instructions on the updates wizard and save lots of time.

|
| November |
|
Reports
Use the pre-written reports for quick and up-to date information. The reports section on the dash board has a wide range of reports, from head counts, salary and holidays to training budgets and recruitment costs. You can print them directly or export them to excel, these are available in all of our products.

|
Document Management
Use the Doc/Contracts page within the employee record to manage and store all of the letters and scanned documents. You can date them and rename the file so they are easy to find, double click on the entry to view the document. You can also use the page to send mail merged documents and emails whilst keeping a copy on the system.

|
|
Self Service
Employees and Managers can keep track of their own details and manager can manage their team details by using the simple self service product, book holidays records absences and amend personnel information, all of which will need authority by their reporting manager. This will keep the Personnel manager up to date.

|
|
Performance Profiles
Design a performance profile form on self service, enter different criteria’s, competences and training needs to individual records. This will then be updated by the employee and manager using a 360 process before finally being signed off. Keep track of each employee as the system will show you at which stage each employee is with appraisal/performance profile. You can then send out emails directly from the system to remind the employees.

| October |
|
| 1. As staff are starting to request holidays for next year. Add 2010 to every employees records via the global updates section, this will save you from updating individual records.

|
|
| 2. If staff absence is an issue, use the Bradford Factor that is already integrated in to the system. It was developed as a way of highlighting the disproportionate level of disruption on an organisation's performance which can be caused by short-term absence compared to single incidences of prolonged absence. It was originally designed for use as part of the overall investigation and management of absenteeism. In contrast, if used to address absence or by setting unrealistically low trigger scores it was considered short-sighted, unlikely to be successful and could lead to staff disciplinary and grievances.

| 3. Use simply answers to schedules reports so they are automatically produced every month and emailed out.
|
|
|
|
| 4. Use the screen designer to create new pages in your employee record, add text boxes, dropdown list, date fields and tick boxes. You can also link these to blank database field so you can use these in simply answers and mail merge documents.
|
|
|
|
| 5. Send out letter and emails to all staff by using the documents section, you can send these to individual employees or to groups/ departments. Use the mail merge field to populate personnel information direct from the employee's records.

| September |
|
Simply Answers
Simply Personnel has a simply easy to use report writing tool called Simply Answers, with this function you can select a number of options held within the main system and report on them. The reports can be saved to the main database so they are just a click away the next time you need to run them or you can schedule them to automatically run on a stated day. All of the reports that are created can be moved around, filtered turned in to charts, printed off or simply exported to excel.

Absences
Simply Personnel can keep a track of all absence that are logged in to the system and flag up and absence issues that may be occurring in your company, it has the Bradford Factor all ready to use with in the system or there is the ability to customize an absence scheme to suit your company. With our Self Service product there is a built in self certification process, so when an absence is logged the employee will be asked to complete self certification process and the manage will be asked to perform a back to work interview, while this is happening your main personnel system will be updated.

Recruitment
Simply Recruitment will keep track of all of your applicants though a step by step process that you customize. This way you will not miss any step in recruiting the correct applicant. During each stage of your recruitment flow the system will automatically produce documents or emails, keep a log of all the applicants that you have not accepted and the ones that are successful with transfer on to your personnel system.

|
Self Service
Self Service will let your staff keep track of their own personnel details for booking holidays, changing their address and integrating to the time sheets and expenses module. Each action that has been submitted in self service can go though a specific authorisation path so the correct person will received the notification. The mangers can manage their teams details from entering absences, approving holidays to actioning appraisals and book training that is linked to the Training Manager.
