Screen Designer
Forms that have the screen designer enabled can have their background colours changed. Switch on the screen designer and right click on the form to display the colour select dialog. Select the colour and the background will be changed. The tab folders themselves cannot be changed, only the forms.

Security
Added the Hierarchy tab to the User Maintenance screen so users can be restricted to specific levels of the hierarchy.
The "Restrict Audit Reporting" option has been added to the Access Profiles so users can be prevented from viewing audit trails in Simply Answers.

Global Updates
The Absence Category drop down list has been added to the Absence Update wizard.

Task List
The displayed contents of each task list can be exported to a CSV file by using the new Export button.
On the Training task list, clicking on the Email button will create an email for the employee linked to the selected delegate task. If a course task is selected when the Email button is clicked on, all the delegates on the course will be added to the list of recipients.
Users can be given permission to view the ADMIN user's tasks.
Added the notes column to the recruitment task list.
When a field linked to an automatic reminder (such as the employee fixed term end date) is updated, if an existing task is closed, a new one will be created. Existing open tasks will be updated with the new information.

Reports
Added the Qualifications section to the Applicant Details report.
The mobile number is an optional column on the Internal Phone List and Phone List by Dept/Loc reports.
Improved the speed of displaying the charts.
The Starters and Leavers section on the management report includes employees in the Starters section that both started then left in the selected time period.
Increased the width of the date columns on the Employment Details report.
The Emergency Contact report can optionally print the medical notes.
There is now the option on the Staff Turnover report to limit the results to select employment types.

Table Maintenance
Added the Length of Service option to the Work menu.
Added the Absence Categories to the Absence menu.
Altered the absence reasons maintenance to link the reasons to absence categories.
Added the "Use FTE" option to the Personnel tab in System Parameters.
On the bank holiday maintenance screen there is now an option to update the duration of all the bank holiday records.
A system parameter determines if the bank sort code mask XX-XX-XX is enforced.
Added the Currencies option to the Company menu.
Added the Addresses option to the Company menu.
Added the Hierarchy option to the Company menu.
On the Company tab of the System Parameters, users can switch on the hierarchy and also specify the Department / Location mappings and the names of the levels of the hierarchy.

Employee Screens
Added the Length of Service Profile drop down list to the Work screen. The length of service for an employee is used to automatically increment the employee's holiday entitlement.
The payroll fields are now always enabled and the user is not forced to enter data but they are prompted to do so if left blank.
Added more salary related fields.
The restriction on the number of permitted posts has been changed to a warning so the user can still save the job if they want to.
Added the additional entitlements settings to the holiday year screen.
When opening the holiday tab, the current year will be the one selected instead of the first in the list.
The user is warned about exceeding an employee's entitlement when a holiday record is saved.
Employee CPD totals don't include courses in the future (when Personnel only is licensed) or those that have not been marked as successfully completed (when Training is licensed).
Added the 'Copy Address to Clipboard' function on the employee contact screen.
Added the PHI details to the Benefits screen.
Added the absence category drop down list to the absence screen.
The date range on the absence page now uses the settings from the system parameters.
If the Hierarchy is being used, the Department and Location drop down lists on the employee job screen are replaced by the hierarchy options.

The default holiday profiles are now available on the new employee screen.

Employee Search

Absences
The Bradford Factor functionality has been expanded on so that different absence schemes can be used. Besides the Bradford Factor, users can use a reward or occurrence based scheme. Each scheme can be based on different periods other than a rolling twelve month period and have custom trigger points.

Delegates restricted by the user's security settings can no longer have their status changed.

Simply Recruitment
When entering a new applicant it is possible to use the date of birth field to match applicants when the names are not known.
Added the Qualifications tab to the applicant screens.

Users are prevented from adding a date of birth in the future.
The applicant source chart on the summary window scales correctly.

Auditing
.Any change to the data in the database can now be automatically audited and reported on in Simply Answers. The auditing uses the built in functionality of SQL Server so cannot be implemented when using Simply Personnel with an Access database.
